V8 and Mercedes based, it’s basically an E63
When you could get a V8 wagon from an American manufacturer?
I never saw a police spec one in real life, but I remember seeing one for sale in university and regretfully (or maybe not) didn’t have enough money for it.

A police magnum was one of my favorite die casts growing up. Never seen one in real life. I wonder why the body style didn't continue up to the current gen Charger

Turns out that, when sedans die, wagons die harder.

My coworker has one he is part-bin building into a track car.

You remember that V6 one at autocross last year? It actually hauled pretty good!

The wagon revolution has been ushered in in disguise and we forgot to to tell people. It may be too late. . .

It did. My coworker has an R/T, so faster and louder.

Sales numbers weren’t great, so when the economic collapse happened it got axed. The C harger and Challenger had better sales.

Yeah, I remember. A coworker of mine had one until a couple years ago. I miss seeing it.

A friend of mine had a charger wagon, he loved it but had to trade it on at 50k because work only allowed him to drive a car for two years. His next car was a Honda Element.

Capacity constraints at Brampton, mainly. When Challenger production ramped up, they couldn't accommodate the Magnum anymore.

No need to go back that far...this 6.2 litre example ( as breathed on by HSV) dates from 2017.

City of Monroe, WA still has two Magnum Cruisers in kind of a pastel gray and lightbars.

When I had my Crosstour, I tried to trade it in for a used Magnum R/T. It had less cargo room than the Crosstour.

The first time I saw a 300 was in a piece of pre-release product placement in 2004*. I remember thinking “Cool! The US car industy has found its mojo again. ”
How wrong I was.
*The movie Starsky and Hutch. Shit movie, but Snoop Dog’s explanation of how he has a prototype Chrysler (“I know some people who know some people who steal some things”) is one of the best lines in the flick.

Am I terrible for liking the Magnum? I know the interior was crap, but I always wanted to do a manual swap on one and put a later C
harger dash/front interior in...

I just love the look of this. Why, I can’t say, it’s just very brash for a wagon.

Overhaulin’ did that to a Magnum for a build. I thought it was pretty unique at the time, but that was before I was aware that the 300 was sold as a wagon overseas.
